Self & Assisted Rescue Training

WHAT: During this training, the Fleet Training Team will go over paddle safety and signals as well as self and assisted rescues in sea kayaks. Participants will be intentionally capsizing their kayaks and must be comfortable swimming / being in the water. This is a required training for folks interested in being safety paddlers* and/or joining the paddle team, and is also open to folks interested in learning these skills generally!

WHERE: Please park in the Cathedral Park parking lot (8800 N Bradford St) and walk next door to our location at Green Anchors (map below). We have a few parking spots reserved in our driveway. Please email mosquito@mosquitofleet.us if you need accessible parking!

RSVP: Please RSVP using this Google form.

*Safety paddlers are folks who join social paddles / on-water actions who have the training to support rescues as needed and make decisions about group safety on the water.
