Portland, OR – On Friday, May 17th, folks from across the Pacific Northwest will come together for the second Annual "Willam Jam: A Benefit Concert for Climate Justice Now!" This multi-cultural event, hosted at Green Anchors (8940 N Bradford St), promises an evening of music, art, food, and drinks in support of two local community organizations dedicated to environmental justice and grassroots activism.

Indigenous Peoples Power Project (IP3), a nonprofit and nonviolent direct action training and support network, is at the forefront of advancing Indigenous communities' ability to exercise their inherent right to environmental justice, cultural livelihood, and self-determination. The funds raised at the concert will contribute to the longevity of their new landback project in so-called SE Portland, serving as an Indigenous-run space dedicated to movement ideologies, land connection, reconnection, and rematriation.

Joining forces with IP3 is the Mosquito Fleet, a network of paddlers, boaters, and community activists fighting for climate justice and a fossil-free Pacific Northwest. Funds raised for the Fleet will support a summer of on-water activities in Portland, including free kayaktivism trainings, social paddles, and the free kayak lending library.

"We're thrilled to bring together music, food, art, and activism for a night of celebration and support," said Asa Wright, Executive Director of Indigenous Peoples Power Project. "It's an opportunity for the community to rally behind local Indigenous-led initiatives and grassroots climate activism."

The lineup for the evening includes performances by Sherrie Davis & Global Fusion, Supernatural Beavers, Nico Wind Cordova, Mista Chief and Rising Buffalo Tribe, and DJ Lapaushi. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of cuisines from West African food truck Asona Cuisine, Mexican delights from Tacos El Patrón, ice cream from Nico’s, and beverages from Straightaway Cocktails. Additionally, there will be a raffle and a silent auction featuring unique items and experiences.
