On Friday activists in Portland broke the news that a ship transporting pipe to construct the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion project had arrived at the Port of Vancouver, WA. From there, it is being transported by rail to Canada. And more is coming. We need you to help us make sure this pipeline expansion will never be built!

On Monday, September 2nd, we will be gathering at Kelley Point Park in North Portland to connect with community members and grow resistance to the Trans Mountain Expansion.

Bring your kayak, canoe or other vessel and join us on the water!

If built, the Trans Mountain Expansion would transport an additional 590,000 barrels of tar sands each day. Oil tankers in the Salish Sea would increase 700%. It would violate indigenous rights, threaten endangered Orcas, and exacerbate the global climate crisis.

This is not a new fight. Since 2014, tens of thousands have demonstrated against the Trans Mountain Expansion with over 200 having been arrested. We need you to join us to make sure this pipeline expansion will never be built.
